Recently heard "Did you know that Jesus spent a long duration in Kashmir and picked up most of his philosophy from there? It has even been validated by the Vatican that some part of his life was undocumented! These people will never admit to it!"

Being part of one's roots is great. But I think this is jingoism... Is it really important who taught whom and who thought of it first? Do we even really understand our own core philosophies? Isn't it better to spread the core message and learn the message from other philosophies that to waste time on specifics of who got there first?
